Position Summary: Home ReSource is seeking a committed team player to use their expertise, creativity, and operational skills to support our community’s Sustainability Center. The Events & Outreach Coordinator position is a supportive role, supporting Home ReSource outreach efforts to help our community reach our waste reduction goals.
Our ideal candidate will join a passionate team working to reduce waste and build a more climate-resilient future through a suite of community programs, sustainability initiatives, and fundraising efforts. The Events & Outreach Coordinator supports fundraising processes and systems, builds relationships by engaging the community through outreach and events, and moves our community toward lasting change by supporting special projects, events, and other advocacy initiatives.
Job Summary: Home ReSource is seeking a Reuse Specialist to join our team. This Seasonal Reuse Specialist will work in our store and donations acceptance area during our busy season. The Reuse Specialist will learn and employ a wide range of skills including: customer service, sorting, processing, and stocking building materials all in the spirit of reuse and sustainability. Volunteer Job Summary: This is an amazing volunteer position which will help Home ReSource and partner events divert more than 80,000 pounds of material from the landfill. The Green Team Events - Day of Volunteer Organizer will help organize and teach volunteers how to identify waste streams and sort into the correct bin location (compost, recycling, and landfill). This position will communicate with the Zero Waste Systems Manager or other Home ReSource on site staff and event organizers and help ensure that the process runs smoothly. Job Summary:
The WeekendStore Manager supports the Home ReSource mission by leading day-to-day ReUse Store operations. This position reports to the ReUse Store Director and plays a key leadership role in supervising store staff while providing on-the-floor guidance and support to volunteers and community service participants.
This is a full-time position with a Thursday–Sunday schedule, working approximately 34–38 hours per week. The Weekend Store Manager serves as Manager on Duty during scheduled shifts and is responsible for overseeing daily store operations during peak business days.
This position serves as the senior on-site leader during weekend operations and works independently without direct management support. The Weekend Store Manager is expected to make sound operational, personnel, safety, and customer service decisions in real time while confidently leading staff.
We're looking for someone that is a compassionate leader, with a systems mind. Experience working in a leadership position in retail, non-profits, or the service industry is preferred.
This is a full time hourly position.
