Position Summary: Home ReSource is seeking a committed team player to use their expertise, creativity, and operational skills to support our community’s Sustainability Center. The Events & Outreach Coordinator position is a supportive role, supporting Home ReSource outreach efforts to help our community reach our waste reduction goals.
Our ideal candidate will join a passionate team working to reduce waste and build a more climate-resilient future through a suite of community programs, sustainability initiatives, and fundraising efforts. The Events & Outreach Coordinator supports fundraising processes and systems, builds relationships by engaging the community through outreach and events, and moves our community toward lasting change by supporting special projects, events, and other advocacy initiatives.
Volunteer Job Summary: This is an amazing volunteer position which will help Home ReSource and partner events divert more than 80,000 pounds of material from the landfill. The Green Team Events - Day of Volunteer Organizer will help organize and teach volunteers how to identify waste streams and sort into the correct bin location (compost, recycling, and landfill). This position will communicate with the Zero Waste Systems Manager or other Home ReSource on site staff and event organizers and help ensure that the process runs smoothly.
